Hanuman World is Phuket’s rainforest zipline park, booked through our licensed Chalong agency. You fly through the treetops across 28 platforms on a guided course, with safety briefing, equipment, an English-speaking guide and injury insurance included. Sessions start at 08.00, 10.00, 13.00 and 15.00, and hotel pick-up is free from most of the island. Maximum weight is 120 kg; rubber shoes are required.

Morning or afternoon? The heat is the thing nobody warns you about

This is the tip we give every zipline guest at the counter, and it changes their whole day. You’re climbing stairs, wearing a harness and full of adrenaline inside a humid rainforest — so the temperature you choose matters more than you’d think.

We steer most guests to the 08.00 session. The forest is cool, the platforms aren’t crowded, and you’re finished before the midday heat turns the harness into a sauna. The 10.00 slot is still comfortable. The 13.00 start is the hottest and sweatiest — fine if you’re used to the tropics, tough if you’re not. The 15.00 session is our second favourite: the afternoon has cooled a little, the light through the canopy is gorgeous, and the platforms empty out. If you overheat easily or you’ve brought kids, go early. Whichever you pick, drink water before you arrive, not just during.

What actually happens on the course?

After hotel pick-up you arrive at the Hanuman World welcome centre for information and a safety briefing, get fitted with your equipment, then head into the jungle for the zipline circuit across the 28 platforms. When you’re done you return to the welcome centre and transfer back to your hotel. Equipment, an English-speaking guide and injury insurance are all included, and transfer is free from most parts of Phuket.

Is Hanuman World right for you?

It’s built for anyone who wants a genuine adrenaline hit without needing to be an athlete — you’re clipped to a line the whole time. That said, there are honest limits: the maximum weight is 120 kg, pregnant women can’t take part, and you must wear closed rubber shoes (no flip-flops or sandals). If you have a serious fear of heights, it’s a real thing to consider — the platforms are high. Message us with any medical concerns and we’ll be straight with you.

What should you wear and bring?

Closed rubber/sports shoes are compulsory, so don’t turn up in sandals. Wear light, breathable sportswear and tie back long hair. Bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent and a small amount of cash. Leave loose valuables behind — you don’t want a phone slipping out mid-zip. A GoPro on a strap is fine.
